APAYA

The APAYA team is made up of 95% percent women; all of them come from different backgrounds and of all ages. All of them have one thing in common, make a living and helping to provide their families with better opportunities from their beautiful skills. APAYA collections are designed with them, and ideas are translated into beautiful pieces all crafted by hand. At APAYA only sustainable materials and an eco-conscious production processes are used.

APAYA was started in Colombia by three sisters who left the country at a young age and returned to fall in love with the culture they left behind as children. APAYA produces accessories that put a modern twist on traditional native products. The sisters work in partnership with local artisans to design and produce accessories sustainable from natural fibers and fabrics found in the Andean Region of Latin America. APAYA strives to empower head-of-household women by giving them work that will allow them to provide better opportunities to their children and families.
